In a decade, photovoltaic solar energy has achieved a prominent position in the Brazilian market. It occupies the second position in electric power generation technology, accounting for about 18.2% of Brazil’s electricity matrix. This sector has already generated 1 million jobs and accumulated more than R$163 billion in investments from 2012 to 2023.
These numbers reveal a promising and rapidly expanding market. It is within this scenario that the 2024 edition of Intersolar South America, the largest event focused on the solar energy segment in Latin America, will take place.
Tuper steel solutions for the photovoltaic energy sector
Developing increasingly efficient solutions for photovoltaic structures is one of the sector’s challenges in a rapidly growing global market, especially in Brazil.
Tuper has been active in the solar energy sector for several years, primarily serving large centralized power generation projects. The focus is on providing carbon steel tube and profile solutions for ground structures for small, medium, and large centralized and distributed power generation projects. Tuper’s products are used in the structure of both fixed and tracker panels. In addition to tubes and perforated profiles, welded parts and assemblies are offered according to the customer’s project. Tuper’s solutions are available in hot-dip galvanized steel, pre-galvanized steel, and Magnelis®.

A brief overview of the event
The tenth edition of Intersolar South America in 2023 was the largest ever held. There were 530 exhibitors and about 50,000 visitors over three days (in 2022, there were 400 exhibitors and 44,000 visitors).
The event organizers announced that for the 2024 edition, there will be a new pavilion dedicated to electric mobility. Highlights will include solar generation, batteries and storage systems, energy management, and electric mobility.
Visitors will also find the complete production chain of the photovoltaic and solar thermal sectors—from PV cells and modules to system balance, components, tracking, applications, and distributors. Global and local brands will showcase cutting-edge technologies and market opportunities, as well as ways to keep up with advances in the solar segment.
Intersolar will take place from August 27 to 29 at the Expo Center Norte pavilions in São Paulo (SP – Brazil). Save the dates to visit the fair.
