In April, a team of professionals from Tuper traveled to the cities of Düsseldorf and Hannover, Germany. The trip aimed to visit the Wire & Tube 2024 and Hannover Messe 2024 fairs, as well as to accompany a group of collaborators who had projects awarded by the internal incentive project Tuper Knowledge Academy.
The occasion presented itself as an opportunity to closely observe what is new in terms of equipment and technologies available for the sector.
In the delegation were industrial director Gustavo Bollmann, commercial director Jailson Rodrigo Planca, manufacturing manager Udo Hans Sonntag, manufacturing manager Aleksandro de Amorim, engineering and quality manager Fernando Nass, and engineering coordinator Diogo Cubas. In addition to these, four production collaborators from the Tuper Oil & Gas Unit and four collaborators from the Tubes Unit formed the group awarded the technical trip (read the complete article about the winning projects in the news hub).
After visiting the fair, part of the delegation went on to Hannover Messe 2024. This event is considered the world’s most important forum for all technologies related to transformation in the industry. This year, it brought the theme “Powering a Sustainable Industry.”
The world’s largest event in the sector brings together innovations and advancements for the industry
The Wire & Tube fair, held in Düsseldorf, is regarded as the largest global event in the sector. It showcases the most advanced technology for the production and processing of steel tubes. Additionally, it is the gathering place for major players in this market. In the booths, you can find everything from service providers to new technological solutions and equipment. It’s the ideal place to check out industry launches and update contacts for networking.
Visiting the event is essential to understand the evolution of these products and conduct a comparative study with what is being used in production processes to keep both technical and competitive aspects up to date. This allows for an assessment of feasibility for new investments. It’s also a time to encounter novel proposals and seek inspiration for developing new solutions.
According to Udo H. Sontag, “It’s the gathering of everything that’s most modern in what we experience in our daily lives. It’s always a great opportunity to make our products and processes more efficient.” Furthermore, according to Udo, “Many of Tuper’s suppliers for equipment, supplies, and services are exhibitors at the event. The company already has several pieces of equipment from these suppliers in its factory, which receive periodic updates and new technical features.”
Suppliers from around the world are attentive to new energy-related issues
The Wire & Tube 2024 edition in Düsseldorf occupied over 100,000 square meters of the fairground. The Wire section featured exhibitors from 52 countries, with particular relevance to companies in the automotive, telecommunications, construction, chemical, as well as gas and oil industries.
Meanwhile, the area dedicated to Tube hosted exhibitors from 54 countries over the five-day event. Suppliers in the tube industry primarily demonstrated readiness for future energy challenges, a distinguishing factor sought after by various sectors of the industry.
The program included discussions on topics such as energy transition, process adaptation, and solutions for a green transformation in the steel industry. There were debates featuring leaders from major companies worldwide involved in steel production and consumption. Professionals and exhibitors brought aspects such as resource conservation, energy efficiency, and innovations for utilizing renewable energies more efficiently to the forefront of the discussion.
