In 2010, continuing a project of diversification and vertical integration, Tuper started a new operation in the production of galvanized pipes. March 18 of that year was chosen for the inauguration of the new industrial plant: the Tuper Galvanizing Unit (São Bento do Sul – SC – Brazil).
With this, the company aimed to increase profitability margins and, as a result, scale up new positions in the Brazilian market.
The Galvanizing Unit celebrates its 15th anniversary producing pipes for strategic sectors such as construction, industry, as well as photovoltaic energy, agribusiness, among others.
Currently, the unit offers a diversified portfolio with pipes featuring external diameters of up to 12″, coated with hot-dip zinc and subsequently finished by blowing, serving various sectors such as shipbuilding, oil & gas, automotive, photovoltaics, civil construction, and more. The production of Tuper Galvanized Pipes applies high-technology processes, in accordance with certified quality management systems (ISO 9001) and environmental management systems (ISO 14001). Additionally, they are certified under the product standards NBR 5580 and NBR 5590.
The unit has reached its maximum production capacity, resulting in one of the largest shares of the galvanized market in Brazil. Exports have also recorded excellent numbers, particularly with markets and customers in South America.
