For 34 years, Grupo AMANHÃ and PwC Brazil have published the list of the largest and most efficient companies in Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul. This year, Tuper is once again present in the 500 LARGEST OF THE SOUTH – GREAT AND LEADERS ranking, occupying the 140th position.
The company is also highlighted in 32nd place among the 100 LARGEST IN SANTA CATARINA. Additionally, it achieved excellent performance, reaching the 20th position in Net Revenue in the state.
Relevance in the national economic scenario
The list is considered the most important regional ranking of companies in Brazil. It uses various indicators to list the largest and most competitive companies in the southern region. It also considers the leaders in their respective states, as well as highlights in more than 25 sectors of the economy.
For the preparation of the main ranking, the methodology was developed in partnership between Grupo AMANHÃ and the auditing firm PwC Brazil. This is the VPG – Weighted Value of Size – resulting from the sum of 50% of net worth, 40% of net revenue, and 10% of net income – profit or loss – for the fiscal year.
Ceremony announced the names of the companies to the market
The event took place on the 15th, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Federation of Industries of Santa Catarina (FIESC) in Florianópolis, starting at 2 PM. The occasion brought together the press, awardees, partners, representatives from various sectors, and authorities to announce the names of the ranked companies to the public and the market.
Among the topics of focus for the event were climate change, disruptive technology, artificial intelligence, and equity among races and genders. The idea was to propose discussions for addressing these issues in government and society. The objective was to gather leaders from Generations X, Y, and Z to share perceptions, experiences, and visions to face the enormous challenges of a sustainable future.
Representing Tuper at the event were Edson O. Neumann (national sales manager) and Kelsen Santos Souza (marketing manager). According to Neumann, “the recognition for our prominent position among the largest companies in the south of the country is certainly a tremendous honor. Occupying this place is, in fact, the result of all the hard work and investments in development, technology, and innovation to provide the best steel products to the market.”
